Art lives in Venice. Museums and galleries host interesting exhibitions every day. From October 4, 2019 to January 22, the Ikona Photo Gallery there is the exhibition Memory for the Future – Dialogue. The paintings of Živa Kraus the images of five great photographers tell the essence of 40 years of activity of Ikona Photo Gallery. Erich Hartmann, Ferdinando Scianna, Barbara Morgan, Lisette Model and Martine Franck, along with Kraus’ paintings, tell the story of this pioneering art gallery.
Živa Kraus’ paintings are expressive. The shapes often have an organic appearance; the lines are long, sometimes straight, but more often curved and always in different colors. The colors are warm, and convey his creative genius, who tries to overcome boundaries, to express his conception of the great archetypes of life and art.
His art is abstract but visiting the exhibition is an experience you can’t help but have if you are in Venice. If you have satisfied your hunger for art but not for food, come to us and we will know how to satisfy you.
